The California Association of Neonatology (CAN) is dedicated to improving neonatal care and outcomes across California. Through education, research, advocacy, and quality improvement initiatives, we support neonatal healthcare providers including neonatologists, NICU hospitalists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, Neonatal Physician Assistants, Neonatal Advanced Practice Practitioners, and Fellows.

The Research and Education Committee creates and oversees programs that support the education and research of neonatal-perinatal medicine.

Membership

The Membership and Nominating Committee encourages all practicing neonatal healthcare providers in California to become members of CAN.

Practice and Standards

The Practice and Standards Committee reviews and makes recommendations regarding issues related to the practice or standards of neonatal care.

Conference Planning

The Conference Planning Committee develops and executes CAN’s Annual Conference, “Cool Topics in Neonatology,” held in March of every year.
